The Pine Cone Clinic, PLLC, is a solo, private medical practice begun in January 2007 by Dr. Scott Klenzak. Dr. Klenzak has extensive expertise and experience in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. Psychiatric problems, especially in children, can be very complex and confusing. Patients and families need careful and detailed assessment. Dr. Klenzak takes the time to really understand the person and family, not just the symptoms. Most importantly, all care is provided in a professional, warm, and supportive environment of respect, empathy and trust.
Dr. Klenzak moved to Statesville, North Carolina while in high school. A Presidential and National Merit Scholar, he was awarded a Reynolds Scholarship to attend Wake Forest University. After graduating Magna Cum Laude in Chemistry, he began his medical studies at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine at Chapel Hill graduating in 1996. Among other honors, he won the Sheps Award in Social Medicine.
Dr. Klenzak completed all of his post-graduate medical training, including his psychiatric internship, residency, and fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill from 1996-2001.
